Booted Racket-tail (Ocreatus underwoodii)
Septimo Paraiso Lodge near Mindo, Ecuador
I tried and tried, but I never got a picture showing both the "boots" and the "raquet" that didn't also have a feeder in it.
One good reason to go back!

Rufous Motmot (Baryphthengus martii)
This bird was so still we nearly missed it. It was sitting just above the path we were walking along. We all took dozens of shots without ever disturbing the bird at all.
One of the most interesting things about the Motmots is that they pluck the barbels out of part of their tail feathers to make a distinctive "racquet" shape.

The Angel - Collared Inca (Coeligena torquata) - Casa La Bravera, Merida, Venezuela, originally uploaded by Duane McDowell.
One of my favorite pictures. I didn't know I had captured this until we I was reviewing photos later.
